2. Service description
Symple is an invoicing service through which private individuals can invoice their work without their own company or Business ID (invoicing service) or handle the accounting and invoicing of a business name company (business name service).
In the invoicing service, Symple works between the user and this customer: we bill the customer on behalf of the user, withhold the statutory fees and account the rest to the user. The user and Symple do not form an employment relationship — it is an assignment relationship.
In the business name service, the user has his own Business ID and Symple handles the accounting, VAT declarations and tax declarations.
Using the invoicing service does not create an employment relationship between Symple / Foundryworks Finland Oy and the user. The user works as an independent professional under an assignment agreement.
3. Registration and user account
Using the service requires registration. Registration is free of charge and does not bind the user to anything.
- The user must be at least 18 years old
- The user must provide truthful and up-to-date information when registering
- The user is responsible for protecting his user account password
- The user is responsible for all activities that take place on his account
- Suspicious activity or unauthorized use must be reported to Symple immediately
Symple reserves the right to refuse registration or close the account if the terms of use are violated or there is a reasonable reason to suspect abuse.
4. Billing process
The user is responsible for ensuring that there is a valid contract (verbal or written) between the user and the invoiced customer for the billable work. Symple invoices the customer based on the information provided by the user.
- The user supplies the billing information to the Symple application
- Symple sends the invoice to the customer without delay
- The sending of the invoice may be delayed if the information is incomplete or incorrect
- Symple sends a payment reminder to the customer if the invoice is not paid by the due date
- The debt collection service is available as an additional service
The user is responsible for ensuring that the object of invoicing is legal and that the invoiced work has actually been done. Symple is not responsible for disputed invoices or non-payment by the customer.
5. Payment service provider
Symple uses PlusID Oy (Business ID 3256194-5) as its payment service provider. PlusID Oy is a payment institution supervised and registered by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority.
- PlusID Oy acts as the payment service provider and payment intermediary in the Symple service.
- All payment traffic is processed through PlusID Oy's systems and interfaces.
- PlusID Oy may process personal data related to payment transactions in accordance with the Payment Services Act and applicable legislation.
- PlusID Oy carries out statutory identification (KYC), monitoring and risk management measures, as well as anti-money laundering (AML) obligations.

6. Settlements and pricing
Symple settles to the user the invoice amount minus the service fee, statutory deductions and other agreed payments. The settlement is made as an express payment to the bank account specified by the user.
Settlement is made within 1–3 business days after the customer's payment has been received.
The valid price list can be found at symple.fi/pricing. Symple reserves the right to change its pricing by notifying the user of the change at least 30 days in advance.
The service fee is only charged when the customer's payment has been received by Symple. If the customer's payment is canceled or returned, Symple reserves the right to charge back the service fee.
7. Taxes and statutory obligations
In the invoicing service, Symple handles the following obligations on behalf of the user:
- Withholding according to the tax card and submitting it to the Tax Administration
- YEL pension insurance premiums according to law
- Income register notifications to the authorities
- Processing VAT with an invoice
The user must submit a valid tax card to the Symple service. Without a tax card, the deduction is made at the maximum percentage. The user is responsible for the YEL insurance premiums themselves, if they are legally required.
In the business name service, Symple manages the accounting, VAT declarations and annual tax declaration in accordance with the agreement.
8. Insurances
The Symple invoicing service includes accident insurance and liability insurance, which are valid during the invoiced work. More detailed terms and coverage of the insurances are announced separately in the service.
The user is personally responsible for YEL insurance if it is legally required. Symple advises on the assessment of YEL liability, but is not responsible for managing YEL payments.
Insurances do not cover intentionally caused damage, criminal activity or situations that are not related to the invoiced assignment.
9. Responsibilities and obligations of the user
The user undertakes:
- To provide all information correctly and honestly
- Invoicing only for work actually done
- To ensure that the invoiced work and its content are legal
- To notify Symple of changes in contact information or tax card without delay
- To use the service only in his own name
- Not to use the service for the gray economy, money laundering or other illegal activities
The user himself is responsible for the work content, quality, schedules and other matters related to the assignment agreed with his client. Symple is not a party to the contract between the user and the customer.
10. Responsibilities of Symple / Foundryworks Finland Oy

- To keep user information confidential
- To announce service changes and pricing changes in advance
- To provide customer service on weekdays from 11:00 to 14:00
Symple is not responsible for damages caused by non-payment by the user's customer, incorrect information provided by the user, or force majeure situations such as bank failures or actions by the authorities.
Symple is responsible for the operation of the service with reasonable diligence, but does not guarantee the uninterrupted availability of the service.
11. Restrictions on the use of the service
The service may not be used:
- For invoicing illegal products or services
- For money laundering or tax evasion
- For interfering with the service or for technical manipulation
- To use another person's information or identity
- For commercial resale without Symple / Foundryworks Finland Oy's written permission
Symple reserves the right to block the use of the service immediately and without prior notice if the violation of the terms is obvious or causes damage.
12. Termination of the contract
The user can stop using the service at any time without notice or additional fees. Termination takes place from the service settings or by contacting customer service.
Termination of the service does not remove the processing obligations of invoices or accounts that have already been made. Pending accounts are paid normally even after the service is terminated.
Symple can terminate the contract with the user if:
- The user substantially violates these terms of use
- There is a reasonable reason to suspect abuse or illegal activity
- The user intentionally provides incorrect information
13. Dispute resolution
We strive to resolve all disagreements primarily through negotiation between the parties. Contact our customer service at support@symple.fi.
If the disagreement cannot be resolved through negotiation, the consumer can refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariitalautakunta.fi).
Finnish law applies to these conditions. The competent court is the District Court of Helsinki, unless otherwise determined by mandatory legislation.
14. Changing Terms
Symple reserves the right to change these terms of use. Users will be notified of material changes by e-mail or through the service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
By continuing to use the service after the changes come into effect, the user accepts the new terms. If you do not accept the changes, you can stop using the service before the changes take effect.
